By the divine grace and blessings of beloved Baba, SSSGC CHV is delighted to introduce yet another highly valuable initiative: ACT – Academic Coaching and Tutoring.

Providing free academic tutoring to children is a beautiful way to put Baba’s teachings into practice. Inspired by His timeless message, “Love All, Serve All” and “Help Ever, Hurt Never,” the Academic Coaching and Tutoring (ACT) program, initiated by the Sri Sathya Sai Center for Human Values (SSSCHV) Committee, is much more than an educational initiative. It is an expression of love and selfless service, aimed at nurturing children academically, personally, and holistically while strengthening the fabric of our community.

Also included are highlights from the Sri Sathya Sai Global Balvikas Gurus Conference recently held in Prasanthi Nilayam.

ACT - an Expression of LOVE

Academic Coaching and Tutoring

Community service is love in action - a practical expression of love, compassion, and selflessness. Bhagawan Sri Sathya Sai Baba has emphasized that true service (seva) expects no reward, it is a means to recognizing the divinity present in every individual. Through selfless service, we not only uplift others but also cultivate humility, empathy, and build character that shapes who we become.

Providing free academic tutoring services to children is a meaningful way to put these teachings into practice. In the spirit of Sathya Sai's message of "Love All, Serve All" and "Help Ever, Hurt Never", the Academic Coaching and Tutoring (ACT) program of Sri Sathya Sai Center for Human Values (SSSCHV) committee is more than an educational initiative - it is an act of love that strengthens the entire community through holistic education.

Education empowers young minds, builds confidence, and creates opportunities for a brighter future. When we invest our time and abilities in the growth of children, we contribute to the development of responsible, compassionate individuals who can, in turn, serve society with the same spirit of selfless love reflecting the founding principles of Swami’s Sri Sathya Sai Institute of Higher Learning (SSSIHL). By sharing knowledge and encouraging learning, volunteers help remove barriers faced by families navigating financial challenges while nurturing values such as discipline, respect, and a love for learning.

The SSSCHV committee has also initiated training for a select group of professional teachers of our centers to bring values integrated education into mainstream schools.

According to the U.S. Census Bureau’s Small Area Income and Poverty Estimates (SAIPE), the school-age child poverty rate across all U.S. counties ranges from 2.4% - 76.7% with 16% as median. So there is a need and opportunity for us to offer free tutoring services in the schools in our communities.

Academic Coaching and Tutoring (ACT) program of Sri Sathya Sai Center for Human Values (SSSCHV) committee is inviting the centers to consider initiating free tutoring services in their local community where it is most needed. Our experienced tutoring teams who are currently running this program successfully are happy to work with you, guide you by sharing resources, materials and other needed assistance.

Sri Sathya Sai Global Balvikas Gurus Conference Report

“Upholding Truth. Nurturing Hearts. Blossoming Excellence.”

The 3-day Sri Sathya Sai Global Balvikas Gurus Conference was held in Prasanthi Nilayam during July 31 - August 2, 2026. Over 3000 delegates from across the world participated in the conference, coming together in unity to further their knowledge and understanding of the Sri Sathya Sai Balvikas Movement. Each day centered around one part of the conference theme, “Upholding Truth, Nurturing Hearts, Blossoming Excellence.”

The Opening Ceremony on Day 1 began with the lighting of the lamp and offering the invitation at Swami’s Sannidhi followed by a ceremonial procession of the countries. Each day started in Sai Kulwanth Hall with Vedam and plenary speaker sessions focusing on Swami’s vision and mission for Balvikas and its impact on humanity. Afterwards, conference delegates continued their day in either Poornachandra (English track) or Sai Hira (Hindi track) with engaging speakers—gurus from all over the world—sharing about key topics relevant to today’s Balvikas gurus and teaching children. The first two days concluded in the evening in Sai Kulwanth Hall with Vedam, the day’s summary, and a musical offering.

On Day 3, in Sai Kulwanth Hall, the Conference Resolutions were read out and all delegates took a pledge to uphold Swami’s high standard for a Balvikas guru. The conference concluded in the afternoon with Sri R.J. Rathnakar, Managing Trustee of the Sri Sathya Sai Central Trust, and Sri Nimish Pandya, Vice Chairman of the Sri Sathya Sai Global Council and All-India President, addressing all the delegates. Both emphasized the perfection of this God-created program and told gurus to strengthen their faith on this journey of self-transformation. They also stressed that all wings must work together in harmony and support one another, because it truly is a Movement of Dharma.

Globally now, we have come together as one Balvikas community—all countries are united for one cause, with renewed purpose and vigor, and working together in collaboration. Prayers to Swami to work through each of us as He continues to unfold His Divine Mission of Balvikas.
