Mother Eashwaramma Day 💐🙏

Easwaramma Day is an annual celebration held to honur and remember the mother of beloved Sathya Sai Baba. Easwaramma was a pious and pure village lady who over the years had to broaden her concept of love, expanding it beyond the confines of family and community to embrace all as the phenomena of Sai Baba attracted more and more people. During this time she was confronted with His teaching which challenged the confines of her understanding of religion, ultimately enabling her to see and accept all as One. The day honors the principle of motherhood and the role the mother plays as the child's first teacher. It is also observed as Children's Day, as children were her particular concern.

Motherhood is the most precious gift of God. Mothers are the makers of a nation's fortune or misfortune. They should teach two lessons, fear of sin and fondness for virtue. Both these are based on faith in God, being the inner motivator of all. If you want to know how advanced a nation is, study the mothers; are they free from fear and anxiety, are they full of Love towards all, are they trained in fortitude and virtue? If you like to imbibe the glory of a culture, watch the mothers, rocking the cradles, feeding, fostering, teaching and fondling the babies. - Sathya Sai Speaks, Vol 7.6 1968

This is a monumental collective prayer in gratitude extolling the glory of the divine mother as creation (1,000 times Caṇdī Pāṭh) and the divine source as creator (1,331 times Śri Rudram). ✨ The event is graciously hosted by Sri Shirdi Sai Mandir, Sterling, VA 20166.

Prasanthi Connection

Our Connection with The Abode of Highest Peace

Prasanthi Nilayam means 'the abode of highest peace'. It is the main ashram of Sri Sathya Sai Baba, located near the village of Puttaparthi amidst rolling hills, with the river Chitravathi to its east. The valley houses the divine sannidhi (sanctum) of Sri Sathya Sai Baba, the Sai Kulwant Hall, bhajan mandir, residential complexes, the headquarters of the Sri Sathya Sai Central Trust, its allied institutions.

By the divine grace of Beloved Baba our SSSGC Zone1 has recently taken up a new initiative "Prasanthi Connection" through which we will be sharing all important initiatives & updates from Prasanthi Nilayam.

Prasanthi Connection Team members will also strive hard to facilitate and help the devotees (of Zone1) with the logistics in Prasanthi Nilalayam.
